Goal. When a governance proposal opens, reach your token holders in-app and by email, then remind the ones who haven’t voted as the deadline nears, to lift turnout. Who it’s for. Web3 protocols and DAOs with on-chain governance. Web3-only by nature. Outcome to move. Voter turnout.

Prerequisites

Build it

1

Trigger when a proposal opens (no code)

Use the Governance activity on-chain preset, which fires on a new proposal. The platform watches your contract for you. See Contract-based flows.trigger (Governance activity) → send in-app (New proposal: have your say) → branch (has email → also send email)
2

Remind the wallets that haven't voted

As the deadline approaches, re-reach holders who haven’t cast a vote. The Governance activity preset also recognizes a vote cast, so tag wallets Voted when they do, and target the reminder at holders who aren’t tagged Voted.trigger (Date reached: 1 day before close) → audience = holders NOT tagged Voted → send in-app + email (Voting closes tomorrow)
3

Thank voters (optional)

A short “thanks for voting” keeps participation feeling rewarding and lifts turnout next time.
4

Activate and publish.

Both are required.

Test

With a wallet you control, confirm the proposal-opened message fires after the short finality delay, cast a vote, and confirm it’s tagged Voted and excluded from the reminder.

Measure

  • Turnout per proposal, before and after reminders.
  • Reminder lift: votes cast after the “closes tomorrow” nudge.
  • Channel mix: in-app versus email participation.

Variations

  • Delegate reminders. Target wallets that hold voting power but usually delegate.
  • Quorum watch. If a proposal is short of quorum near the deadline, send a stronger push.
